A Big Night With The Whitecaps
Recently, our friends Matt and Jennifer invited us to join them in a suite for a Whitecaps game. We've been to lots of Whitecaps' games, but have never had the luxury of viewing a game from a suite. Wow! We had an awesome time and a great view of the game. It was a huge night for the Whitecaps - Magglio Ordonez from the Detroit Tigers played in the game so it was a packed ballpark and people were pumped up (including the players who hit several homeruns). It was the most exciting Whitecaps game we've ever seen. Hannah had a blast too!
Hannah's Travel Group Reunion
On the couch again - Rachel, Emma, Hannah, Leilani, Annamarie, Hayley, Claire and Nell In July we had our 5th reunion for Hannah's Travel Group (the families we traveled to China with when we adopted Hannah). Eight of the ten families in our group were able to make it. It has become an annual tradition and we love it! Hopefully, the tradition will continue for years to come. One family from our group lives in Ada and does a great job hosting our group. They live on a lake and have a pool so the kids (and adults) have lots of fun. This year we also went to Lake Macatawa and had a blast. We had two families stay at our house, which was busy but so fun too. Hard to believe it was five years ago that God brought us together with Hannah and the wonderful families from our Travel Group.

Fourth of July
We had a wonderful time celebrating the 4th of July! We were able to enjoy the Hollyhock parade in the morning with our friends Carolyn and Esther followed by a brunch at Lorna and Paul's house. It was a delightful morning - fun to start establishing traditions for our own family. In the afternoon we headed to a cottage with Doug's family and spent a couple days there. The girls had a blast with their cousins, aunts, uncle and grandparents.

Meijer Gardens
We've been enjoying spending time at Meijer Gardens this summer. We purchased a membership this spring and have definitely made the most of it by visiting often. The girls love the kids' gardens, where we spend most of our time. Recently, Hannah invited her friend Chloe to join us for a picnic and fun at the gardens. We had a blast! I just love the first photo of them with their huge sun glasses. :-)

10 Years!
On June 27, Doug and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. Wow... has it really been 10 years!? In honor of our anniversary we had a quick getaway to Petoskey - one of our favorite places. We had a relaxing time (did I mention we left our kids with their grandparents?). :-) On the evening of our anniversary we enjoyed a delicious dinner in Harbor Springs at our favorite restaurant and then a lovely walk along the harbor. It was so nice to spend time with just the two of us - we'll have to do that more often.

Ava's Travel Group Reunion
In June we hosted the first reunion for Ava's travel group (the families we traveled to China with when we adopted Ava). Five other families were able to make it. We had a wonderful time! It was so great to see how the little girls have grown and changed since China. Hopefully, we'll be able to have a reunion every year like we do with Hannah's group.
