We also praise God for a good report about my Aunt Carol (one of my mom's 7 sisters). She recently had surgery to remove a malignant ovarian tumor. So far it looks as if the cancer was contained to the tumor and hasn't spread so she will most likely not need chemo, but they are awaiting the final word on that. She also developed a blood clot in her lung (so scary!) so her hospital stay was extended and now she is on blood thinning meds. She has now returned home and seems to be on the road to recovery. Thanks for the humorous emails, Uncle Ron - we've enjoyed your commentary. We'll stop by to visit again soon, Aunt Carol!
We ask prayers for our friend Bill who is battling lung cancer. Bill is one of Doug's college buddies. He has had a rough road dealing with the nasty side effects of chemo and the progression of cancer. He and his wife Sondra recently celebrated their 25th anniversary. Happy anniversary, Bill and Son! We are praying for many more anniversaries.
My aunt Marlene has also been in the hospital this week struggling with stomach issues. They discovered the reason and are treating her but I won't go into the details. Hope you're feeling better soon, Aunt Marlene!
Back to items of praise... we are so thankful for each one of you - our dear friends and family!
