This week we found out that Ava has a double ear infection - poor thing. She's on antibiotics now and is starting to do a little better. Her ear infection has been causing her to wake up at night so it's nice to know the reason for that. Hopefully she'll (we'll) start sleeping better soon.
During the day she has still been pretty happy. She is on the move crawling all over and putting everything in her mouth. She also likes to try and pull herself up but hasn't perfected that yet. She enjoys following Hannah around and getting into her things, which Hannah doesn't seem to mind. On days that Hannah is in preschool I can tell Ava misses the activity and busyness of her big sister. Hannah for the most part still enjoys her role as big sister. She has been a really good helper and just loves to try and carry Ava around. Yesterday was such a gorgeous day that we went for a couple of stroller rides, which Ava loved. Hannah had to bring her stroller and doll along too. :-)
Ava has been eating more and more table food. She has finally discovered how to chew and swallow. She loves chicken, veggies (yea!), pasta, breads, some fruits, and of course Cheerios. We just give her little pieces of everything and she seems to do okay. When we first came home she would keep food in her mouth and sometimes choke so she's made good progress. She still loves her bottle though.
We are so grateful for the adjustment Ava has made into our family. She has bonded so naturally with the three of us and us with her. We praise God for this and know that it is an answer to many prayers.
