Lions and Scarecrows and Ladybugs, Oh my!

Halloween took us to Oz. Hannah made an adorable Dorothy and my folks surprised Hannah and came dressed as the Lion and Scarecrow (very simple costumes they put together). Hannah was a bit scared at first and hid behind me and Ava just wanted to take a bite out of Nana's big scarecrow nose. My parents are such good sports - this is the third year they've showed up at our house dressed in costumes. Last year was hysterical when they came as Grumpy and Sleepy and Hannah was Snow White.

Ava had fun being a ladybug, which was the costume Hannah wore on her first Halloween too. Her favorite part of Halloween was seeing all of the trick-or-treaters that came to our door. We didn't do a whole lot of trick-or-treating since Ava still has an ear infection and Hannah has been sick too. We just went to four neighbors and had some friends stop by. Hannah still ended up with a ton of candy - our neighbors and friends did cute little goody bags for both girls. Hannah was delighted to find out that she could have Ava's too. :-)

Your girls were just adorable in their costumes. Glad we were able to meet up that night so the kids could swap treats.

Excuse the deleted comment above, I didn't proof before I hit publish and of course there was a mistake. Oops!
