Happy Gotcha Day, Ava!

I can't believe that it was a year ago today that we first held Ava in our arms and welcomed her into our family. Wow! She sure has grown and changed a lot since then. In celebration of Ava's Gotcha Day, we gave her a gift we purchased for her in China (Hannah did too), lit a candle and read a blessing that was lovingly written by her big sister, looked at pictures and video from a year ago, read special books, and enjoyed a delicious Chinese dinner at the same restaurant we went to on Hannah's first Gotcha Day. The girls and I also went to visit Doug at his office and take him out for lunch. It was a full day!

We try to make Gotcha Day (or Forever Family Day) special for each of our girls since we weren't there to share in their births. We can share memories and relive the glorious moments when we first glimpsed their sweet little faces and finally held them in our arms. In about a month we will be celebrating Hannah's 5th Gotcha Day. Slow down hands of time...my babies are growing too fast.

Happy Gotcha Day, my sweet Ava Grace Fu Xiao! I love you to the moon and back.
