Spring into Summer

This is such a busy but fun time of year. We love it when we can spend lots of time outside...eating picnic lunches, swimming in our neighbor's pool, splashing around in the kiddie pool, riding bikes and scooters with friends, listening to the sound of robins, seeing new robin babies and adorable little ducklings, talking walks, playing t-ball, planting flowers, and enjoying the increasing hours of daylight. Ahh...we love this time of year!

Earlier this month, Hannah took part in her 2nd ballet recital this year called "Hissy the Honeybee." She and her friend Grace were bluebirds and did a great job. You can check out their fancy makeup and costumes below.

Also in May, since the 2nd graders at Hannah's school were learning about China, they had me give a presentation on Chinese New Year. I did a presentation for each of the four classes individually so everyone would have a chance to take part in the Lion Dance. Hannah helped me when her class took their turn. She even wore a special Chinese dress for the presentation. I think she was so proud to share part of her heritage. She continually brought in special Chinese items to share with her classmates during their unit study of China. Students kept asking her questions too and told her she was an "expert on China." :-)

Only one week of school left for Ava and two weeks for me and Hannah! Woohoo! We're ready to spring into Summer!
