A Day at the Pines

While Doug was gone we spent a day up at my parent's trailer. The weather wasn't the best but we still had a great time. After lunch we headed out on their new pontoon boat (I still miss the speedboat though). It was a lovely ride cut short by rain clouds. Both girls took a turn at driving the boat with Papa. This is a tradition that goes back to when I was a little girl and my dad let me and my brothers take turns driving the boat. Ava definitely took full advantage of the situation and turned the boat back and forth across the lake...seems like Papa gives a little more freedom to his grandchildren drivers. :-) Afterwards, we drove their golfcart all over the park and ended up at the store for ice cream and games - a perfect end to a great day!
