We are leaving Chongqing today. Here's an update on how things have been going for our family.
~Hannah is doing awesome! Loves playing with Ava and is having lots of fun hanging out in Nana and Papa's room playing panda paper dolls or watching Swan Lake.
~Ava has a bad cold and possibly an ear infection. We started her on antibiotics yesterday that we brought from home. She's doing ok...still smiles but is a bit fussy. She doesn't like any "real" food or baby food. She will only take a bottle with rice cereal. She loves her bottles and makes really cute noises to let you know she's hungry. She is still sleeping pretty good for the most part. Last night was a good night but the night before was tough.
~I (Sheryl) must have caught Ava's cold so I'm taking cold medicine and doing ok. Hasn't slowed me down much... gotta keep up with my two girls. :-)
~Doug is doing great! He is having a blast with his girls... swimming with Hannah and getting Ava to smile and giggle.
~Nana and Papa (my folks) are having so much fun here. Both are staying healthy and doing great!
We leave for Guangzhou this afternoon. My former Chinese student, Domy, is coming to see us in Guangzhou - we can't wait to see him and his family again. He was my student when I taught in Changsha, Hunan during the summer of 1994. He and his family also came to see us when we got Hannah in 2003.
I still can't get into our blog to make sure my posts are being posted and I can't read any comments. Just know that we love you all and can't wait to see you when we get home!

It is so great to be able to read about your experience as it is happening. The joy that she is bringing you is already evident on all of your faces in the pictures. What an amazing journey that God has brought you through to get Ava. Praying that the transition continues to go well. Miska

Little Ava's experience sounds so similiar to Lia's. Bad cold although for Lia it was bronchitis. And Lia too wouldn't eat any real food or baby food just bottles with rice cereal in them. Don't worry too much about that. She started eating real food once we got home and she saw me eating it. Glad everything is going so well. Look forward to seeing you in less than a week.

Looks like things are going good. Has mom fell down? If so make sure you don't leave her there.
Well Bakers, you must be just about home by now. You have been on our minds and in our prayers. We hope that long flight home went OK for all of you.
