Christmas Day with the Bakers

On Christmas day we headed to Doug's parents' house. We had a delicious feast that included prime rib, compliments of cousin Darrel. Opening gifts was so much fun. Doug's mom does really cool "stocking" gifts for everyone. We love to see what she comes up with each year. :-) The girls were again blessed with so many wonderful gifts from their aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents. Hannah especially loved receiving adorable matching Chinese-styled AG pj's for her and her doll from Doug's folks. Grandpa and Grandma also gave the girls some nice hardcover books with messages inside. Hannah and Ava have both had fun using the many gifts they received.

After dinner and gifts were done, Hannah and her cousins Chelsea and Hillary decorated gingerbread cookies using a kit Grandma had given Hannah. Such clever and creative girls... the cookies looked like masterpieces. Hannah adores doing things with Chels and Hil so she had a blast.

In the evening we headed to my aunt Carol's house where my mom's side of the family had gathered for food, games and fun. We had a busy but wonderful Christmas. It's always such a blessing to be surrounded by family at Christmastime.
