Christmas Eve with the Rietbergs

On Christmas Eve we headed to my parents' house for our traditional Christmas celebration. The evening included yummy food, the Christmas story from Luke 2, "Silent Night" accompanied by Mark on the guitar, lots of gifts, Ava eating more tissue & wrapping paper, Andrew giving body slams and hugs to Hannah, and of course, lots of Kodak moments.

Both Ava and Hannah received wonderful gifts from Nana and Papa and their aunts, uncles and cousins. Some of Hannah's favorites were the horse she got from Uncle Dan, Aunt Angel and Andrew for her American Girl doll and the shopping cart from Uncle Mark. It was so fun to see her reaction when she opened these things. Doug and I enjoyed the gifts we received too, but even more we loved giving special gifts to our China travel buddies (Dad and Mom) and gifts to Taylor & Phil (we drew their names this year). It was also so fun to watch Ava, Hannah and Andrew open their gifts.
