Circle of Life

On September 11, we celebrated the long life of my grandma at her memorial service. It was a beautiful service filled with loving tributes, meaningful verses and her favorite hymns. Our pastors did a beautiful job honoring her life and expressing our hope through the redemptive power of Christ. My mom also shared a moving tribute she had written, which provoked a mixture of tears and laughter. While it was sad to bid farewell to my grandma and close that chapter in my life, it was also a time of joy and gratitude for the many years and special times we shared with her.

While we said goodbye to my grandma, the circle of life was just beginning on the other side of the world in China. Our friends Dan and Trish joyfully welcomed their precious new daughter, Chloe, into their arms and into their family. We are over the moon happy for them!!! After an endless wait they can finally savor the sweetness of their new little bundle of joy. I love how Trish described on her blog that God was redeeming September 11 and now it will forever be a special day for them. Congratulations, Dan, Trish and Lia! We can't wait to meet little Chloe.

Here are a couple pictures of little Miss Chloe. What a little honey!
