Happy Gotcha Day, Ava!

It was two years ago today that Ava Grace was first placed in our arms. We are so grateful to God for bringing us together as a family. I had to include these pictures so we could relive that incredible moment.

Tonight we celebrated Ava's Gotcha Day with dinner at our favorite Chinese restaurant followed by our traditional blessing candle and Chinese gift. We gave Ava a doll we had purchased for her in China. Hannah had written a beautiful blessing which she read while we lit the candle. Ava was more eager to blow out the candle. :-) Afterwards, we met my parents for ice cream ("ikeem") - one of Ava's favorite treats . We had a wonderful time celebrating Ava's special day.

We love you, sweet little Ava and we couldn't imagine life without you in our family!
