An Early Christmas

We celebrated Christmas with our girls a little early this year. If we wait until Christmas, we feel like we're rushing to fit it in between the celebrations with our extended families. By celebrating a few days early, we could relax and enjoy a slower pace. Our girls didn't mind. :-) We stuck with our tradition of giving 3 gifts like Jesus received from the wise men. We did wait to open our stocking gifts and a gift from Santa on Christmas Day though.

Both girls were so excited to receive a camera. Ava got a Fisher Price camera made for kids her age and Hannah got a digital camera that is perfect for a 7 year old - it's pink and inexpensive (in case it gets dropped or lost). :-) Hannah has been saving for a camera for ages, so she was delighted to get one without having to spend her own money. She also got a Didj learning game system and a trundle bed for her dolls, which Ava had to try. Ava also got a Leapster Clickstart computer that hooks to the TV and a Tinkerbell dress, which is the one thing she wanted for Christmas... unless you count the "real dog" she asked Santa to bring. :-) Doug surprised me with an Ipod, which I had no idea he was getting. Thanks, honey! Hope you like your clothes as much as I like my Ipod.

Thanks for letting us borrow your camera, Dad!
